MDF/Chipboard/Plasterboard
Overview
Y2BE are able to recycle the above virgin/used, metal contaminated waste streams and more.
Previously there had always been the issue of metal, paint and other contamination, but we can process all of that through individual sites, at a cost that could save you substantial amounts of money, whilst avoiding landfill.
Waste is processed through an advanced composting operation where special attention is paid to pre-blending the inbound material, maximising the effectiveness of a selected colony of aerobic bacteria specialising in the bio-decomposition of wood based products.

Wood compost
MDF/Chipboard or generally any dirty wood is currently being put to Landfill. Y2B though have sourced a national recycling solution, where laminated, painted, contaminated MDF/Chipboard can be fully recycled. This is done through comprehensive composting technology
You can also put clean wood, green waste and even Plasterboard in the same bins. It doesn't need to be segregated, but will ALL be recycled.
Step 1:
Size reduce material to increase surface area
Step 2:
Lay out in rows according to moisture and local fauna. Turn on a regular basis to increase airflow.
Step 3:
Propagate optimum environment for recycling's biggest guns, bacteria. Aerobic bacterial colonies multiply feeding off the bio-matter.
Step 4:
After a relatively short peroid the mixed organic feedstock has been reduced to a homogenous Biomass high in nutrients.
